Bee-bot's

Over the last few weeks we have been learning how to use a new app on the ipad called Bee-bot.

Bee-bot is an app where you need to give the Bee-bot instructions to get to a certain place. (This game is great for improving children's skills in directional language and programming through sequences of forwards, backwards, left and right 90 degrees.)

But before we started using new app we learnt how to be Bee-bot's ourselves.

We drew some squares on our carpet and put a flower down for the end point.

One person then acted as the Bee-bot and the person gave them instructions by pressing down on their shoulders, and back.

1 tap with both hands on their shoulders meant go forward 1 square. 1 tap on the back meant go, 1 tap on the left shoulder meant turn left and one tap on the right shoulder meant turn right- this was a bit tricky for some of us as we are still learning our left and rights!

After being Bee-bot's ourselves we then got to have a go at using the app...
